Statement of purpose: I have had the pleasure of being involved at the district, state and national level of the association for the past 12 years. It has been a pleasure to serve on BODs of two different states- Tennessee and South Carolina. These positions have allowed me the opportunity for networking with individual RDs, community leaders and students across the country. This networking creates a desire to mentor, connect and provide for growth of SCAND and the registered dietitian. I have been privileged to learn from the past leadership of SCAND and TDA and believe in the importance of mentorship and growing our future dietetic leaders. It would be a pleasure to serve as the President of SCAND. During my term of office, I will work to continue the work that has been done before for me and to continue working toward meeting the strategic plan.
