Amanda Edwards and Adah Gorton

Together, Amanda Edwards and Adah Gorton have more than 20 years of experience across the recycling, grocery and hospitality industries. Now both program managers at the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s Office of Solid Waste Reduction and Recycling, they are using their knowledge (and love for food!) to head up the Don’t Waste Food SC campaign.

Don't Waste Food SC focuses on bringing together every individual and organization in South Carolina to prevent, donate or compost extra food rather than wasting it. Ambassadors of the program include residents, K-12 schools and colleges, businesses, non-profit organizations, local governments, restaurants and hospitality establishments as well as many others. During this session, Amanda and Adah will share information, tips and demonstrations of how every individual can play their part in prevention and reduction of wasted food.
