Clinical Sales Liaison Nutrition Specialist

Position Summary:

As a Dietitian Clinical Sales Liaison with Coram CVS/specialty infusion services, you will develop and maintain relationships with physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources, gathering all pertinent discharge information and working collaboratively with patients and clinical staff providing coordination of care to ensure a smooth transition from a medical facility back into the home.

Our Clinical Sales Liaisons Nutrition Specialist …
* Support and assist physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources with the identification of appropriate home nutrition therapy candidates.
* Facilitate patient discharge planning and coordination of care between Coram and referral sources including local hospitals, home health agencies, physician offices.
* Evaluate clinical and service needs for existing and new accounts
* Grow business by recognizing opportunities to expand relationships with existing referral sources and partner with the medical community to understand their needs and deliver results for a safe and smooth transition home.

Key responsibilities:
* Conduct initial education to the patient/caregiver training on our nutrition therapy services and technology.
* Assesses method of administration based on physician orders. Introduces formulary changes, diagnosis and route of feeding and advances in nutrition support.
* Identify opportunities for improvement in patient care and participate in the institution's quality assurance/performance improvement initiatives as requested.
* Maintain and grow core therapy admissions through customer relationships and provide responsive customer service within assigned hospitals.

Greenwood/Greenville, South Carolina

The Greenwood Genetic Center is recruiting a registered dietitian to join an active metabolic program serving the state of South Carolina. The Greenwood Genetic Center metabolic program includes two board certified clinical biochemical geneticists, two registered dietitians, a clinical psychologist, a nurse practitioner, a genetic counselor, four metabolic clinic coordinators and a biochemical laboratory. The candidate would be responsible for developing and monitoring medical nutrition therapy plans for patients with metabolic disorders in the upstate of South Carolina (Greenwood/Greenville, SC) and providing back up nutrition care for metabolic patients in other areas of the state.  Additional duties may include providing nutritional support for research or special projects.

The ideal candidate for this position must have a Bachelor’s degree in human nutrition, food and human nutrition or food science/human nutrition, successfully completed an Internship in Dietetics by AND approved facility, and at least 5 years experience in pediatric clinical nutrition; however, a Master’s degree in public health nutrition, community nutrition, human nutrition, food science/human nutrition, or a related field and at least 2 years experience in pediatric clinical/metabolic nutrition is preferred. Candidate must be a registered dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.  The candidate should also be willing to travel within the state of South Carolina.

  • Completion of specialized academic training in dietetics, including a minimum of a four-year degree in food and nutrition science from an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) approved university, or completion of a Coordinated Program
  • Dietetic Internship or Master’s program approved by ACEND
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able and willing to travel
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • One year of experience in food service management or clinical dietetics is preferred
  • Previous Consulting experience is preferred

Charleston County School District is hiring a registered dietitian to work in our nutrition services department to perform specialized duties in the area of school food service that support school based meal programs in accordance with school board policies and procedures, and state and federal Child Nutrition Program regulations.

Pay range is: $46,867 - $76,723 based on years of experience. 

This is a full time, 240 day per year position.

Must be a registered and licensed dietitian.
