Evaluating RDN needs of evidence-based guidelines for educating students on and/or performing the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) on people of color

Good afternoon,

I am a dietetic intern at Winthrop University working on a survey-based research study titled “Evaluating RDN needs of evidence-based guidelines for educating students on and/or performing the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) on people of color”. This project is being supervised by Mrs. Leslie Van Horn MS, RD, LDN and Mrs. Stephanie Nielsen MS, RD, LDN, in the Department of Human Nutrition at Winthrop University.

The aim of this study is to evaluate RDN’s perceived needs of evidence-based guidelines for educating students or interns on the NFPE, performing the NFPE in practice, and interpreting the results of the NFPE on people of color with various skin tones and hair types.
