Debbie Petitpain, MS, RDN, LDN 

Debbie Petitpain is a registered dietitian nutritionist and the Food Security Solutions Fellow for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation. In her fellowship, she is leading the development and implementation of a robust plan to promote increased awareness and use of the Food Security Solutions guide, which was developed by the Foundation, to the public health community and related stakeholders. In addition to her fellowship, Debbie is a volunteer national spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition, Debbie is the Sodexo Wellness Director at the Medical University of South Carolina where she develops policies and programs to advance health on campus and in the community. In 2016, she received a Hero of Everyday Life award for her volunteer efforts to fight hunger in the community by establishing the first hospital USDA Summer Meal Program in the Southeast with the Kids Eat Free at MUSC program. She is committed to helping other institutions replicate this program or any other that promotes health and wellness to the people they serve.
