SCAND Annual Meeting


The SC Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Annual Meeting, now in its 47th year, is a premiere continuing education event offering keynote sessions, concurrent sessions, research posters, networking opportunities, exhibits, and workshops. Please check back periodically for updates.

 2017 Theme

 
Date: April 26-27, 2017
Location: Marriott Downtown - Columbia, SC 
Room Rate: The rate is $159 per night plus applicable taxes and fees (includes complimentary self parking and internet access). The tax rate is currently 12 percent.

Room Block Deadline: Room reservations must be made by Monday, April 2, 2017.

Early bird registration must be postmarked or paid online by April 14, 2017

Both Days (includes all sessions, 1 breakfasts, 2 lunches, breaks, exhibits, posters)

Academy Member:
$180; $230 after April 14
Non-Academy Member: 
$300; $350 after April 14
Student/Retiree:
$85; $135 after April 14

* Subtract $50 for acceptance of submitted abstracts (non-student/non-retiree)

One day only (includes all sessions, breakfast, lunch, breaks)

Academy Member:
$125; $175 after April 14
Non-Academy Member:
$200; $250 after April 14
Student/Retiree:
$60: $110 after April 14

Parking

  • Valet parking Fee: $22 per day.
  • On-site parking, fee: included in the hotel rate for guests who are staying in the hotel. Otherwise, the cost is $2 per hour or $12 per day for non-hotel guest.

Abstracts – the Annual Meeting is an opportunity for nutrition/dietetics professionals and students to share their research about any topic related to nutrition/dietetics. An abstract is a brief, written summary of the ideas or concepts to be presented, and a statement of their relevance to practice or research. Each abstract accepted for presentation will be included (as it was submitted) in the printed notebook provided to each registered attendee at the meeting. Deadline for abstract submissions is March 17, 2017 prior to the Annual Meeting. More information can be found under the Abstracts Tab.
