Amy Joye Fund
Donate anytime!
We lost Amy Joye, a SC Registered Dietitian working in research at the University of SC, in 2009 after a routine medical procedure turned into a medical tragedy. Amy loved the dietetics profession and nutrition research.
In honor and memory of Amy, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) affiliates in SC and GA teamed up to create a Named Fund through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation. The $50K principal remains intact with interest being used to award nutrition research grants annually through the AND Foundation. We have an annual goal of raising $2,000 to contribute to this important work. We can do it!
That's where you come in. You can carry this important legacy and the work of the Academy Foundation on through your donation. Due to the Virtual Meeting format this year please consider making a donation. Contributions will go to the Academy Foundation and be evenly split between the Amy Joye Memorial Research Fund and the AND Foundation's Annual Fund for scholarships and awards.
